When we returned to Japan for the first time in 15 years, we didn't know what to expect. We found everything pretty much as we left it, including our Gifu family in the Japanese Alps. With nearly a month to experience Japan as tourists, we covered as much ground as possible, from Tokyo to Nagoya and Gifu, to Nagano and Kyoto.
