We weren't quite sure what to expect from our trip to Shanghai, China. We found a city experiencing profound transformations, racing into the future and yet tied to the past. It's unmistakably Chinese, but draws heavily on its colonial legacy. Shanghai also has one of the most impressive skylines we've seen on our travels.
